STEAM Saturdays Workshop: What Goes Up Must Come Down
Try to ground your anticipation as you wait for egg drops and marble runs all in the name of science. Kids will put their knowledge and skills to the test as they are challenged to protect an egg from the forces of gravity. Later they will work as a team to problem-solve their way to Hamilton’s water, setting up a marble run that mimics a water tower delivering water to houses and industry around the city.
Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology is excited to present the “STEAM Saturdays” kids workshop series for children. This workshop is a staff-led and supervised event. Parents/Caregivers are welcome to stay but are not required to do so. Consent forms and emergency contact information will be required at drop-off.

Time: 9:45 AM – 12:00 PM
Ages: 7 to 12 years
Cost: $25.00 per child. $9.00 per adult supervisor (optional). Pre-registration required. Drop-off optional.

Waterford Lions Bottle Drive
 Save the date: Saturday, January 27th
 Time: 10 AM - 2 PM We're excited to announce our upcoming Bottle Drive to support Campfire Circle!  All funds raised will go towards purchasing a new golf cart to ensure the children at the camp have a smooth and safe journey throughout their unforgettable experience.  Let's come together and make a difference! Your contribution will not only help us reach our goal but also create lasting memories for the kids at Campfire Circle.  Drop-off location: Waterford Foodland - 792 Old Hwy 24, Waterford.
 Drive by, drop off your recyclables, and help us fuel the joy of exploration for these incredible youngsters!

Free Book Fair
We have too many pre-loved books in our garage! Some are a bit too loved, some are old library books, some are too esoteric, or too big, or we already have too many copies. Some are books from the shop, but we have taken them out of stock and they are ready for a new home.
Hence, we will be having our first ever Free Book Fair on Saturday January 27th from 11:00am-5:00pm.
We will have some bags available, but feel free to bring your own bag or box to load up. There will be all kinds of books - from fiction to non-fiction, and even a few kids books.
The books will be set up in our Mass Market Gallery event space (the garage behind the bookshop).

The Waterford Legion is hosting a Robbie Burns Night!
Food served at a cost of $15 serving haggis, potatoes, gravy, turnip and dessert.
Highland dancing at 6pm, ode to the haggis to follow.
