Hamilton’s Winterfest 2024 is on until February 19th! There’s an endless number of things to do around the city including art exhibits, concerts and theatre performances, sports games, comedy shows, Valentines Day and family day events and so much more!

Sensory-Friendly Morning Tour
Experience the Steam Museum in a quieter, sensory-friendly atmosphere at this event for visitors who are sensitive to crowds, loud noises, and sudden movement. Visitors in small groups tour the museum at their own pace with hands-on experiences, less noise and a quiet “Chill Out Zone”. A ‘Social Guide’ containing photographs and information will be emailed to registrants in advance to help them prepare for their museum visit.

Spay-ghetti and No Balls Dinner, Art Auction, and Dance
imcoe and District Humane Society will be hosting a Spay-ghetti and No Balls Dinner, Art Auction, and Dance on Saturday, February 10th at the Army Navy Air Force Club in Simcoe.
The Art Auction featuring pieces donated by local artists will start ahead of the event, with online viewing starting February 1st. The pieces will be available to view in person on the day of the event, starting at 10 am.
The evening event will start with a Cocktails and Social Hour from 4 until 5 pm, followed by dinner featuring salad, spaghetti, and meat sauce (vegetarian options also available), and cheesecake from 5 until 6pm.
This part of the evening is open to all ages, and Andy the Balloon Guy will be on hand twisting up balloon art for the younger attendees by donation.
There will also be draws and prizes throughout the evening, as well as a 50/50 for those 18+.
Following the dinner will be the Art Auction beginning at 7 pm where attendees can bid on their favourite pieces.
After the auction, the event transforms into a dance with music by DJ Randy Halmo of Klassy FM DJ Services. This portion of the evening is 19 plus, running from 8 until 11 pm.
Tickets are available now at Pet Valu Simcoe, Ruffins Pet Centres Simcoe, and from the shelter, either by visiting 24 Grigg Drive or via e-transfer to finance@s-dhs.ca, with a note indicating which tickets you are looking to purchase.

Winterfest Grab-and-Go Activity Kits: Interesting Inventions!
Celebrate Family Day and Hamilton Winterfest by reserving a free ‘grab-and-go’ activity kit from the Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology! Kids will explore inventions that changed the way we communicate, the way we see the world and even the way we dress. Limited quantities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pick-up only; no delivery available.
