Healing Circles for GreivingIn person for 6 Thursdays at Sydenham-Heritage United Church
A healing circle is a facilitated support group. It is a safe space.
Loss is a part of life. And with loss, we feel broken and torn apart. When we share our own stories of our loss with other people, it can help us move towards wholeness and healing.
Everyone suffers loss in life. Have you suffered a loss and still struggle with grief? If you continue to struggle with loss after more than 6 months, these healing circles might be a benefit to you.02:00pm - 03:00pm

Robbie Burns Dinner and Dance
$55 per person, $95 per Couple, kids 6-12, $15 kids under 6, free!
Selkirk Lions are hosting a fun evening celebrating Robbie Burns’ Birthday with good food, including haggis and roast beef dinner, great music by a local DJ and entertainment from our local dancers and bagpiping from Jim Yates.
The Selkirk Lions are throwing a proper celebration for Robbie Burns’ Birthday, and this one is built for anyone who appreciates good food, good music, and a room full of community spirit. This festive evening brings together classic Scottish tradition and small-town fun, all under one roof.
Dinner is the star of the night, featuring a hearty spread that includes haggis and a roast beef dinner that does not mess around. Come hungry, leave happy, and maybe slightly proud of your life choices. The evening soundtrack is handled by a local DJ, keeping the vibe upbeat and the dance floor busy.
Adding to the atmosphere, local dancers will deliver lively performances, while bagpiping by Jim Yates sets the tone with unmistakable Scottish flair. Expect moments that feel ceremonial, moments that feel celebratory, and moments where you simply nod along thinking, yes, this is a good night out.
Whether you have Scottish roots or just enjoy an excuse to eat well and be entertained, this Robbie Burns Birthday celebration is a fun, welcoming way to spend an evening with friends and neighbours. Kilts encouraged. Dancing is optional but highly recommended.
