  • Blues for Soldiers

    This is a weekly Sunday event called Blues for Soldiers at The Gunners Club on Henry St, in Brantford.  The money goes to support Soldiers who suffer from PTSD. Every week there's a different Blues performer who plays with the house band who are excellent!!

    Cover charge of $10 that goes towards supporting the soldiers with PTSD.

    Haldimand County, in partnership with City School by Mohawk, will be providing a free Landscape Construction course to community members 19+ with little to no post-secondary education this summer in Caledonia.

    In the Landscape Construction course, Introduction to Decks & Fences, students will learn basic construction techniques to build projects relating to landscape construction including:

    • Learning how to interpret drawings;
    • Learning how to read a bill of materials and build projects of varying sizes and complexity;
    • Select appropriate tools and fasteners aligning with project requirements;
    • Develop skills to support the construction of decks and fences on a smaller scale to serve as an introduction to the trade; and
    • Explore landscape construction as a potential career.

    This program will run from May 13 to June 13, 2024 from 3:00 pm -7:00 pm every Monday, Tuesday & Thursday in the City School mobile classroom in the parking lot at the Haldimand Caledonia Community Centre (HCCC) (100 Haddington St.).

    The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Hamilton & District Chapter will be celebrating the impact and successes of The Kidney Foundation’s past 60 years at Shine Bright, A 60th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, April 26 at Winona Vine Estates in Stoney Creek.

    The Fur Ball is an elegant night out to celebrate 6 years of helping, rehoming and rehabiliating animals and completing families by Northern Connection Rescue and Good Will Good Karma. We are inviting you out to enjoy a 3 course meal catered by Devlin's Country Bistro , enjoy some optical illusions by Steven Jones Magic and followed by some dancing or checking out the raffle and auction table. All proceeds from this event will go towards Spaying and Neutering cats and dogs to help reduce the overpopulation crisis our Country is facing right now.

    Join Grace United Church - Dunnville for Trivia Night! Saturday, April 27th. Doors open at 6:30pm, trivia starts at 7:00pm. Snacks and Pizza provided. Soft Drinks available to purchase. 6 people per table - single seats available. $20 per person. Fundraising for Newcomers to Canada.
