Credit Counselling - Haldimand
To Thursday 24 May 2018
Haldimand County Public Library has partnered with the Credit Counselling Society to offer free financial literacy workshops with a focus on planning for postsecondary education. The workshops, aimed at parents of young adults planning to attend trade school, college or university, will take place this May at all six Haldimand County Public Library branches.
Parents will learn, in a fun and engaging way, how to talk to their teens about money, financial goal setting and steps to financing higher education. Workshop participants will gain valuable information on how to help their teens source and apply for available funding and leave with an understanding of tools and resources designed to help save, plan and pay for post-secondary education.
Workshops will be offered at 6:30p.m. on the following dates:
- Dunnville Branch: Wednesday, May 2nd
- Hagersville Branch: Thursday, May 3rd
- Caledonia Branch: Monday, May 14th
- Jarvis Branch: Thursday, May 17th
- Cayuga Secondary School – Cafeteria: Tuesday, May 22nd
- Selkirk Branch: Thursday, May 24th
Registration is required for this free program, and signing up early is encouraged as space is limited.
