Community Food Drive at Bryan’s
To Monday 31 December 2018
The holidays are around the corner and we have so much to be thankful for here at Bryan’s. We are especially fortunate to have a full fridge and a warm place to go home to at the end of the day. This is not the case for so many families in our community. To commemorate the end of a fantastic 2018 year at Bryan’s, company president, Ken Lillycrop wants to help feed families who are struggling to put food on the table.
Bryan’s is hosting and organizing a community food drive in November and all through December. Non-perishable food items collected at Bryan’s will be donated to the Eva Rothwell Centre emergency pantry. In addition to a much needed breakfast program, which runs out of the centre, dedicated staff and volunteers also coordinate a pantry program for those families requiring extra food bank support.
According to Lillycrop, “Our goal at Bryan’s is to collect enough food to fill an entire Bryan’s utility trailer! We will be delivering it to the centre shortly after our final 2018 auction on Dec. 29th.
”Bryan’s is asking employees, customers, suppliers and those who simply want to pop by with food items, to drop off donations either at our main office or at Warehouse #1 in the rear of our property.
“It takes a village to make a difference, and if we can all come together to do this, it will be an amazing way to end 2018,” adds Lillycrop.
According to Rev. Don MacVicar, founding president of the Eva Rothwell Centre, “Investing in a community with your donations, helps to provide a new hope, joy and a peace within the families. They are all so thankful that someone like Ken and his team at Bryan’s have reached out to offer a smile and a friendly hand shake with a warm heart.”
Please join us to support the tremendous work of the remarkable people at the Eva Rothwell Center. Every bit of aid will be a huge help for the children and families the centre serves.
