I must begin with saying how happy I am to be a part of a team again with my former colleagues who I also call my friends. Playing this GREAT music on the radio airwaves is a dream come true!
Here's a bit of my career bio and when I read it back I ask myself how I managed to fit it all in, but when you love what you do it never seems like work!
I was born and raised in Hamilton and have an extensive Theatre and Broadcasting background. I am a former Ms.Hamilton and was in The Ms.World Canada Pageant, many moons ago for the talent competition.
Early on I ventured off to Hollywood to pursue a film and television career and as cliche as it sounds I lived on Beachwood Drive which is the street that takes you up to the Hollywood sign. When I realized there is " no place like home " I returned to the ‘Hammer’ and I landed on local radio. I spent thirteen years at Oldies 1150 CKOC, 102.9 K-Lite FM and 820 CHAM as an on air Host/Reporter/Producer, before joining the CHCH TV family in 2011. You can catch me on TV as a Weather Anchor and a Reporter.
Some of my other gigs included two years as the in game Announcer for the Toronto Blue Jays at the former SkyDome (now Rogers Centre) and The Hamilton Bulldogs at Copps Coliseum (now First Ontario Centre). I was a cast member of the International Children’s Theatre company Theatre Beyond Words, a Drama teacher at The Hamilton Conservatory For The Arts, Reporter for Cogeco Plugged In, and I have my ACTRA and EQUITY card ( movies and television credits ).
And last but not least, I am one proud Mommy! I always felt blessed with love but when my daughter was born it exceeded my wildest dreams.
