Good day my friend, I’m Peter and I’m pleased to meet you. Being back on radio with the co-workers I love and the music I grew up with in my soul, helps me realize what an incredibly fortunate life I’ve had. The name “The Grand” has to be the most metaphoric I’ve ever aligned with in 37 years of broadcasting.
I count among my blessings, my family – especially my son, my wonderful friends, a rewarding & fascinating career, good food to eat, a warm place to sleep, a beautiful country in which to live, boundless ways to have fun, hobbies like woodwork, recording, video editing, renovating & building. And how else could I feel but grateful to reunite with wonderful listeners like you, and to make new friends as they discover what we’re doing on our brand new radio station – The Grand. People ask if it’s hard to get up at 3am to be ready for on-air at 5:30, and I suspect it might be, were I not so curious about the information and fun I can hopefully bring to you each weekday morning to start your day and make it brighter. Coffee helps too. A lot. I’m not going to kid you about that. So, you know what, more than anything I just want to say “thanks” for giving us a try on your radio, for believing in Ray, Ted, Shelly, Yvonne, Nicolina and me the way the owners of “The Grand” do, and for letting us know how we’re sounding as we connect with you on the net. It’s the only way we’re gonna be an even better radio station in the future. Drop me an email or a Facebook note anytime, it’s always a pleasure. I hope today and everyday we can make life a little better for you and all those you love, with The Greatest Hits Of All Time, and the little radio station near the banks of the river, we call 92-9 The Grand :)
