    Experience the traditions of Christmases past through the various generations of the Thompson family and our featured ‘Christmas During World War I’ Exhibit during our Christmas Tours at Ruthven Park ! Tours run on-the-hour for approximately 45 minutes.

    Please register for tours at the Welcome Centre. Admission is a “give what you can” monetary donation per person in support of Ruthven Park.

    The 12th Annual Handmade Hamilton at Theatre Aquarius! 
     
    Check out an excellent mix of makers to join us to feature some of the finest makers of pottery, candles, fashion, jewelry, textiles, paper art, glass and visual art. 
     
    The first 50 shoppers each day will be gifted a free tote bag with the cutest design by artist Jordynn MacKenzie. 
     
    Hosted by the lovely Theatre Aquarius, we hope that you will come and join us to do some holiday shopping for those on your gift list!

    This group is for both veterans and their caregivers.

    Come out to the legion clubroom on the last Monday of the month to share resources and stories! Learn how to use your veteran affairs account to make claims and find out about other benefits you may be entitled to.

    Welcome to the Waterdown Breakfast with Santa event!

    Join us at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 551 for a morning filled with festive fun. Santa will be making a special appearance to spread holiday cheer and take photos with all the good boys and girls.

    Enjoy a pancake delicious breakfast while participating in various activities and crafts.

    Proceeds from the event support Food4Kids in our community. Currently 30+ children are receiving support from the Food4Kids organization within the Flamborough community.

  • Selkirk Illuminated Tract Parade & Events

    2:00 – 3:00 pm Quiet Hour – Selkirk Centennial Hall – A sensory-friendly visit with Santa that is easy on the ears and eyes.  RSVP required.

    3:00 – 5:00 pm Afternoon with Santa – Selkirk Centennial Hall –  fun activities for the children.  Hot dogs, hot chocolate, candy canes and one free family photo with Santa.

    6:00 pm – Illuminated Tractor Parade – A variety of tractors, combines, antique vehicles of all sorts, horses and of course Santa himself.  All decorated for the holidays, driving through Selkirk’s main streets.  Starting on Water / Park Street, turning west onto Main Street and ending at Centennial Hall.

  • Brantford Christmas Parade

    The 48th Annual Freedom House Brantford’s Santa Claus Parade presented by GrandBridge Energy,, on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Come and celebrate the festive season with us as we fill the streets with joy, creativity, and holiday spirit!

    The parade will make its way downtown on Dalhousie Street at 6:00 p.m. starting at Stanley Street and ending at Harmony Square where the annual Parade After Party presented by Brant Animal Aid Foundation will begin. The public is encouraged to line the streets early to save a spot for optimal viewing.

  • Flamborough Santa Claus Parade

    As is tradition, this year’s floats and bands will light the way for Santa with music and lighting providing a spectacular presentation and that WOW factor which will undoubtedly delight everyone. 

    Starting at 6:30pm sharp, the parade starts on Hamilton Street at Rockhaven Lane, and will wind through beautiful downtown Waterdown, ending at the corner of Hamilton Street and Parkside Drive.

  • Christmas with ArcadyArcady is thrilled to invite you once more to celebrate the holidays with its acclaimed professional chorus, youth chorus, instrumental ensemble, and fabulous soloists! ‘Christmas with Arcady’ will be held on November 30, 2024, at 7:30PM at St. Andrew’s United Church. This year’s program includes brand new holiday works from our very own Canadian composers Emma Theresa Verdonk and Benjamin Gabbay as well as much-loved Arcady Christmas classics by our artistic director Ronald Beckett.
