Preceding Day Sunday 07 September 2025 Following Day
  • 156th Six Nations Fall Fair

Come visit our 2025 Fall Fair that has something for everyone! This year we will be having a Traditional Pow Wow, along with rides, Ambassador’s Pageant, Baby Show, Smoke Dance, Wrestling Event, Demolition, Kids Day, Musical Entertainment, Food, Exhibits and more!

  • Fall Bird Banding

As the trees light up with reds and golds, Ruthven Park becomes a quiet stopover for birds on their long journey south. Early in the morning, you might spot volunteers gently banding tiny warblers and sparrows, checking their feathers, and sending them safely on their way. It’s peaceful, a little bit magical, and a great way to feel connected to the rhythm of the season. If you visit, bring a warm jacket, a thermos of something hot, and a bit of patience—you never know what birds might show up next.

    Sept 1st - Nov 7th

    Tuesdays - Thursdays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Saturdays & Sundays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

  • Train Days with the Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers

Catch a ride on a miniature train, operated by the Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers! Various model engines will be running on the miniature railroad track at the museum. Make sure to head to the Pumphouse to learn about Hamilton’s steam-powered Waterworks, built in 1859.

Beginning July 6, the Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers are celebrating their 50th season! Celebrate with us by contributing to a special train-themed community art project during your visit.
