  • Fall Bird Banding

As the trees light up with reds and golds, Ruthven Park becomes a quiet stopover for birds on their long journey south. Early in the morning, you might spot volunteers gently banding tiny warblers and sparrows, checking their feathers, and sending them safely on their way. It’s peaceful, a little bit magical, and a great way to feel connected to the rhythm of the season. If you visit, bring a warm jacket, a thermos of something hot, and a bit of patience—you never know what birds might show up next.

    Sept 1st - Nov 7th

    Tuesdays - Thursdays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Saturdays & Sundays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

We will end at the South side parking lot. (outside of the old Hudson Bay).

With this new start time Primaris Real Estate (The new owners of Lime Ride Mall) will have Santa do the Tree lighting after the parade. There will also be some Parade related events at Lime Ridge Mall. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements.
