  • American Civil War in Cayuga

    Please welcome back the last and final (9th) History of the American Civil War, and the amazing team of reenactors. Our father has decided to host this event for the final time. 

    This year it is being held August 23rd & August 24th 2025 @ Circle G Ranch - 5938 Hwy #3 (GPS recognizes Hwy #3 as Talbot Rd.) Cayuga Ontario N0A 1E0 

    This is a not-for-profit event.

    We are pleased to have Civil War Re-enactors from all across Ontario and the United States. Their expertise and dedication to this specific period in Canadian and the United States history portrays the lifestyle endured during the Battle

    This event combined with the owners many exhibits, buildings, livestock and demonstrations offer a variety of activities for the entire family to spend a day in the country.

  • Pop-Up in Dundurn’s Historic Kitchen Garden

    Hamilton Children’s Museum will be popping up at Dundurn National Historic Site in the Historic Kitchen Garden. Bring your young family and friends for free nature-based activities in “Sophia’s Garden”, a child-focused interactive space. This area of the garden was inspired by excerpts from The Diary of Sophia MacNab, as Sophia describes playing in the kitchen garden and growing a small plot of fruits and vegetables with her younger sister. This new garden features plants selected to inspire kids to touch, smell and interact with nature. Join Hamilton Children’s Museum staff to explore plants, animals, insects and engage in hands-on activities.

    This program is weather dependent and will be cancelled if there is audible thunder, heavy rain, or if temperatures are above 40 degrees Celsius.

  • Haldimand Rivercats Video Dance Party!

    This year marks a major milestone for Haldimand Rivercats Girls Hockey - 20 incredible years of building community, inspiring athletes and growing the game of hockey! 

    To kick off our anniversary season in style, we're inviting everyone to dust off their boots or dancing shoes and join us for a Video Dance Party Fundraiser on Saturday, August 23 at the Fisherville Lions Hall!

    Tim Hortons camp day committee is getting a head start on fundraising activities for Camp Day 2026 with a trivia night on Friday, August 29 in the restaurant!

    $5 per person for entry and 100% of the proceeds will go toward 2026 Camp Day.

    Entry includes a free beverage, and we will also have free timbits for players. 

     

    The event will be August 29 from 7pm-10pm at the north side Caledonia Tims. 

    It's based on arrival, no pre-registration needed.
